Permeable, Pedestal, and Sandset Paving System

Traditional & hybrid paving system options for whatever your project requires

Permeable Pavers

Managing storm water and its effects on the environment is the primary objective of permeable pavement and provides an eco-conscious solution when reintroducing storm water to the soil beneath it.

Permeable pavers, also known as permeable interlocking concrete pavements (PICP), are installed with layers of varying-sized stone or aggregate underneath that filter and direct storm water to underground aquifers.

Our permeable pavers mimic the way natural land absorbs water. With permeable concrete pavers, any rain that falls on your patio, walkway or driveway can seep back into the ground or be filtered and slowly released back into the storm system, reducing the burden on storm drains. A permeable paver system can also be designed to harvest and recycle rainwater.

PRIMARY BENEFITS

  • Infiltrate water back into ground to recharge groundwater supply
  • Maintain base flows in waterways to ensure ecosystems are self-sustaining
  • Act as filter to improve local water quality
  • Permeable pavers for driveways can eliminate water accumulation and reduce ice accumulation to improve vehicular safety.
  • Light paver colors are highly reflective and reduce heat island effect
  • Reduce water use for landscaping and harvest/recycle water
  • Eliminate standing water here mosquitoes can breed, and algae or mold can grow

Pedestal Pavers

Pedestal paving systems elevate tiles and pavers on uniformly spaced pedestals to allow healthy airflow, heat reduction and drainage to rooftop and ground applications.

Pedestal Pavers

Our pedestal systems are designed for porcelain & concrete pavers & laid level over built up roof decks & occasional ground applications. By elevating the surface, the system allows for adequate airflow & drainage to rooftops, plazas, and more.

PRIMARY BENEFITS

  • Provides quick and highly efficient drainage to areas prone to flooding (i.e. balconies, green roofs, water features, pool areas, etc.).

  • Allows pipes and electrical equipment to pass underneath effortlessly.

  • Void space between pedestal flooring and base encourages air circulation which improves heat insulation.

  • Pavers and supports absorb natural expansion and structural movement while retaining integrity.

  • Creates the opportunity for historically unusable square footage like rooftops to become functional and usable spaces.

Sandset Pavers

Resting on a compacted bed of sand and aggregate base, these uniform systems provide an economical, durable and low-maintenance option to compliment any architectural style.

Sandset Pavers

PRIMARY BENEFITS

  • Wide range of finishes, colors, shapes, and sizes

  • Little to no maintenance

  • Long lifespan

  • High winter durability and resistance to cracking or damage from freeze-thaw cycles and salts.

  • Smooth surfaces allow for easy snow removal.

  • Darker pavers assist in melting snow and ice faster

  • Easy repair and adjustment

Sandset pavers result in a durable surgace that will last for generations when placed on a well-prepared base. Because our installations adhere strictly to ICPI standards, these systems need practically no maintenance.

This method provides the most economical paving system options and allows for easy replacement, repair or adjustment in the future.
